Acupuncture Clinic
Acupuncture is a safe and natural approach to health and well-being. It has been used in Far Eastern countries such as China for more than 2000 years and in more recent times, has found growing popularity in the UK. Chinese medicine holds that health is affected by the flow and balance of energy, qi (pronounced 'chee'), that is within our body and moves in channels (meridians).

Acupuncture involves inserting very fine needles to improve the flow and balance of qi. This stimulates the body to heal itself or maintain health in a safe and natural way. Acupuncture needles, unlike needles used in conventional medicine, are very fine and not hollow. The patient may feel a dull ache or a tingling sensation.

A great benefit of acupuncture is that it deals with the whole person. Underlying health is improved, not just the symptoms, and benefits emotional/spiritual as well as physical needs.
We want to welcome David Purchas, our new Acupuncturist.

David moved over from New Zealand 14 years ago and has been practicing acupuncture in Kent for the last eight years. He has 20 years' experience in complementary medicine. David uses his experience to work on a very individual level with clients specific needs.  Incorporating treatment targeted at the root of the problem as well as treatment to alleviate the symptoms.   He finds Chinese medicine and philosophy a powerful way to diagnose and prevent disease.

Over the years David has seen many people who have tried many therapies, and consistently found that Chinese medicine can give new insight and often significant relief to their ailments. He finds his approach particularly beneficial for people going through significant changes/transformations in their lives where the whole body/mind/spiritual approach of Chinese medicine is wonderfully supportive..
